AM - 9 miles up to work. Back to normal life.

PM - 9 miles home.

I did a little 2012 review post on Wasatch & Beyond. I think its cool that I ended up running more miles than I drove in my jeep (and Allie will back me up, that was a very good thing for the longevity of the vehicle). Of all the nonsensical things that I keep track of, only driving to work 90 days was probably the crowning achievement. Its fun to look back at all the things we've done in the past 12 months... too much to even condense into one succinct post. I know that the turn of the calendar year is an arbitrary thing, but for a lot of reasons I'm excited right now about the year ahead. I feel that I've been building a lot of momentum for the past month and the 11 day vacation I just took was a real treat (and I definitely took advantage of that opportunity both from training and mental rejuvenation perspectives).

I have some big running goals (even by my standards) that I'll be chasing this year, but I'm more confident than ever that I'll reach them.

Wow, nice job on a great 2012 and I love the detail to your year in review. I'm surprised you didn't list out the ingredients of every food you ate last year. Maybe in 2013. Kidding. You are a data hound!

And confident you should be. You are running great right now Jake!

I look forward to reading the review.

Cool graphs! I always like to think I take my training somewhat seriously, then I see the kind of details someone like you tracks, and I see what real dedication is. Anyway, I bet this is a huge year for you - not just saying that either, seems like you are on fire right now.

Great year Jake, Thanks for sharing with all of us. Hope you have a great 2013.

Thanks for that Jake. Some great info and it really does show how hard you worked last year. Impressive.

Some great pictures too. My favourite is the start line of Boston. Priceless. I would've done bunny ears over your man, just for the heck of it. That's why I would never be in that position, or at least one of many reasons.

I'm looking forward to seeing how you go this year. I think you'll be mixing it with the big boys...

You are ready to achieve your goals.

Hey, my wife is running the Phoenix Marathon, too.

Where'd Andrea's blog go?

Ditto on Andrea's blog? Both of your posts are great to read!

She tried to update her blog from her TI-83 calculator and it broke. Apparently the same thing happened to James and Allie.

Honestly, she was mad at me for running a thousand miles last week, because I said I wouldn't do that anymore... but I didn't realize the rule still applied when we were in different states. Now we're good again :-)

Dale - PHX is a great course. A good hill from 5 - 6.5 miles, and then just cruising flat / gradual downhill the rest of the way.

Lol at both responses. I had forgotten that I clicked on allie's blog the other day com it did the same thing.

My wife is looking forward to that marathon, but she is also nervous because she has been sick with one ailment after another for the part month, so she lost a lot of fitness.

Great recap on the year Jake. 113 average miles per week is incredible!... As are all of your other stats. Can't wait to see you get your OTQ.
