AM - 11 miles up to work.

PM - 5.5 miles. Down to SHP, ran a little w/ Andrea. Then we went to the gym but were too cold to go in the pool... so we just went in the hot tub for a while.

I wrote a blog post on Recovery. Some discussion earlier this week got the wheels turning in my head and I started jotting a bunch of stuff down... thought it was worth sharing. These aren't necessarily the right things to do, its just what I do. Once I got writing, I ended up going off on a huge tangent about how I believe I went from being injury prone to injury resistant in the first place... that became a post of its own, so I'll save that for next week. Interesting stuff to think about.

Just finished up reading your recovery article. Too many good, useful things to even comment on, so I'll just say thanks for typing that all out for us. I have it bookmarked!

Compression socks huh...

Looking forward to reading this thanks Jake.

Outstanding. Excellent post Jake. Nicely written and easy to follow. All made perfect sense.

Odd that my 'trade' is PT and yet I've never owned or used a stick or a roller - they became popular after I sold my business. I think I'll have to get me a cheeky little stick - for beating the kids:)More like they'll beat me with it.

Thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts. They were very much appreciated.

Dad showed me the picture of all your running shoes. How many feet do you have:)? I like your trousers with the smiley faces.

Grace - that's not even half of the running shoes we have... but the area by the front door always looks like that... a huge pile. Good thing we don't have a dog or it would eat all of them. Then we hide the even bigger pile in the other room. It becomes hard to keep track of them all, even for me :-)

Joe - if you are sitting much during the day, you'll notice a difference with the socks.

Bam - they make a hundred iterations of the stick these days. I still have the original, so do my parents. We bought a couple before anyone knew what the heck they were. It has stood the test of time for me.

Jake,

Hi. Thanks. I read it. Saved the link. And will have to read it again. Hey that's what I do!

Hoping all is well with you and your family.

Excellent post Jake. Impressive number of pearls! A lot of truth written. Thanks for sharing. I've got a lot to work on. Especially with my sleep. My schedule can sometimes be unpredictable, which can affect my sleep, but that's life. I'm very thankful for the running I can do.

Reiterating what everybody else has said about your recovery post: Thank you! In all seriousness, you should think about writing a running book!

Really very good piece on Recovery Jake. Thanks for posting. Enjoyed it as I sit on my "dad's chair" watching the FA Cup (practicing the Super Lazy part).
