Here's a training summary of the last 8 weeks. The main emphasis for the next 8 weeks will be quality long runs: extended steady state efforts + work at goal marathon pace. I'll mix in a couple easier overdistance long runs + shorter/faster sessions.

We never ski on Mondays!

I approve of this layout, very nice. Allie might have some critique of the color palette, but I say A+.

What's an overdistance long run...26+?

I probably didn't use the right term there. In the summer I would do a couple 26s... but for this buildup, I'm thinking over-distance more in terms of over-"time"... so like 2.5 hours. That BETTER be over the time it takes me!!

Oh and I have calendars like this going back 4 years. The fonts and colors have changed over the years, but they are the best way to look at trends in training and big picture stuff. I'll post them all in one giant file when I retire.

Pretty cool. I plan stuff out in excel but usually dump the file after whatever buildup I was doing. So FRB is my master file...good thing it will definitely always be functional as long as we live.

I never ski on Mondays either.

Big enhancement to my calendar this winter was the addition of the little orange cloud, which represents a smog day. Fortunately we hardly had any.

I hear ha Rob... Mondays are always too busy for skiing, which is OK if you use your Sundays appropriately :-)

you'll need to make a custom color for banff days. my vote is cobaltish.

I'm working on an extension that will add all crayola crayon colors to google docs.

Enjoy the rest of your night on buzzfeed...
