AM - 13 miles. 6 + 16 x 200m (200m) in 34.8 avg + 3. MHS track (which isn't my favorite, the turns feel too tight).

PM - 6 miles. PC rail trail.

It's really not that bad - just a standard classic shaped high school track. Would it REALLY be too much to ask for them to build a track with Olympic dimensions across the street from my office?!?!

You'll see the pattern developing with what I'm doing - one track workout a week, long run, something short, sweet, and not-taxing in-between (30s hills or 200s). Repeat for another month and then we'll see where I'm at when September comes around.

As the reigning Saltair HM champ, I'm sure you can influence them to build you that Olympic track. I guess the straightaways on an Olympic track must be farther apart? Or shorter, maybe? My brain hurts.

Modern tracks have wider turns and shorter straightaways.

140 is 140 in any seven day period. I love that this is a topic of contention for Jake. I will put down your daily and weekly mileage for next week Monday to Sunday and see how I do.

Monday through Sunday is the only correct way. That way you can swap your long run day on Saturday OR Sunday on any given week and it won't mess up your weekly number. Splitting the weekend up into 2 different weeks is crazy, and incorrect.

Thank you Joe. The International Organization for Standardization already decided Monday was the first day of the week. This can easily be looked up on the internet. Plus, it just makes intuitive sense (week vs weekEND). I'll switch to weeks starting on Sunday around the same time I switch to the official blog religion.
