AM - 22 mile long run. Park City - big loop around Snyderville Basin. Averaged 6:50/mile. Felt good and ran a decent negative split despite the second half of the run being gradually uphill. This is a good loop - mix of dirt and paved paths.

A slightly more humane route than Jeremy Ranch...

These are my favorite kinds of "trails"...

Impressive mileage Jake! Compared to an average runner like myself. Heck, I thought 70 mpw was a lot for me.. I don't know how you do it! Keep it up! Really enjoy reading your blog.

I've had weeks in the 150s... not sure exactly what the highest 7 day period would be. Maybe more.

JHat - 70mpw is a solid amount of running!

SLC has an ideal environment for training in the summer (in my opinion) - out altitude is only moderate (~4500), but I can get up to Park City (6-7000) on the weekends, and it's 95-100 degrees EVERY afternoon, which is ideal for heat acclimation. Not too hot, but enough that it gives a slightly bigger stimulus for adaptation than the moderate elevation along, and ultimately gives you a boost (hopefully!) for fast running on cool fall mornings :-)

Nice week! Doesn't hurt to throw in some Uinta miles.
