Nice. I like San Francisco. But, you know what they say...great place to visit, wouldn't wanna live there.

You take any nutrition for these - or are you now just a fat burning machine ? : )

From Josh E on Fri, Aug 01, 2014 at 10:07:57 from 63.226.66.73

I am more fond of San Francisco than any of my eight siblings. It is the pinnacle of civilization for the childless heathen.

From Burt on Fri, Aug 01, 2014 at 10:28:54 from 184.101.121.216

So then, what's Las Vegas?

From Josh E on Fri, Aug 01, 2014 at 10:40:06 from 63.226.66.73

The nadir of civilization. And for the deviant. They could care less if they have kids.

From Jake K on Fri, Aug 01, 2014 at 10:47:38 from 174.240.9.228

I'm fairly certain Las Vegas is hell.

I wouldn't want to live here either - and that's not a knock on SF specifically... I wouldn't want to live in any city of this size. I do enjoy seeing the historical landmarks from The Rock and the newer Planet of the Apes.

Cam - no food on long runs (or short ones). When Andrea bikes with me on LRs I'll take a couple swigs of water. Otherwise just run and eat/drink later seems to work fine.

That run across the bridge and back and along the water - is the highlight of any trip I ever make there. Hope you enjoy your time there!

Nice! My work conferences take place in suburban high schools located in industrial parks.

Denver is way too big as well. I-25 and I-70 are virtually in perpetual gridlock. Extremely frustrating to get anywhere.

From Jake K on Fri, Aug 01, 2014 at 17:45:08 from 174.240.2.189

Big pharma has the $$$ to put these meetings in some very nice locations / hotels. Accommodations we'd never stay in otherwise! :-)

The thing about Denver is ... It's not really Colorado. More of Los Angeles meets Kansas.

Sounds fun. FYI, you have it logged as 0 running miles.

Jake is like our Lord. He does everything for a reason.

From Rob Murphy on Sat, Aug 02, 2014 at 12:21:50 from 24.10.247.181

He probably doesn't count sea level miles.

From Fritz on Sat, Aug 02, 2014 at 13:02:02 from 71.219.129.59

I think 23 sea level should count for about 12. Is that the calculation, Collin?

From CollinAnderson on Sat, Aug 02, 2014 at 13:16:42 from 172.56.38.93

More like 9. I recall that Jake doesn't count runs under 10, so that makes sense. Haha, no, but running the same effort at 5000' for the same time, it would be about 22. Of course, San Fran is probably a LOT hillier, right?
