Prett cool pictures! I never knew Andrea was smaller than a banana slug.

Every girl's dream is to somehow be compared to a banana slug.

Big trees are awesome. I bet pictures don't even do them justice.

Pretty much impossible to fit a 280 foot tall tree into your camera lens.

Oh how I miss the banana slug. And of course the mighty banana slugs of UC Santa Cruz!

Your second sea lion picture looks like harbor seals. You can tell by where they rest. Sea lions have long front flippers and can jump up and crawl onto rocky terrain, buoys, and docks (Pier 39). They can also walk on land. Seals have short front flippers and have to move on their bellies on land. You find them resting on gently sloping beaches and rocks.

Good to know. Both varieties seem very lazy on land, but are really cute when you see them swimming :-)

I've been on quite a few kayaking tours in CA . . . they definitely have cuteness in common!

You two are going to need a vacation from your vacations.

The break from the vacations is work, and that just makes you want to take more vacations! :-)
You'd be surprised with how much we've been away, but I've only used 2 vacation days so far this entire year. The rest of the time has all been made up... a lot of long days on either sides of the trips, but that's always worth it to me.

My father always told me when I was younger, "enjoy life. You have the rest of your life to work." I think I've pushed that a bit beyond what he ever expected :-)

Just wait until Andrea gets back to 100%... then you'll see that envelope pushed again :-)
