We decided to run the Commodore Hull Road Race in Shelton/Derby this year on Thanksgiving morning. The course was altered due to the snow, and it ended up being well short of 5K. That being said, this was one of the best organized small races I've been a part of. They even had a live webcast and drone flying around taking pictures!

I ran at last month's marathon pace for almost 3 miles and considered that a success being that I've hardly broken 8:00 pace for the past 6 weeks. Finishing up with a seemingly healthier hamstring and then running in with Dad / Andrea / cousin Andy (the three of them had packed it up XC style) and then back again to pace in my Mom was what this one was all about. We all had fun.

Seems like just a couple weeks ago you were doing 100-200m @ MP...now 3 miles?! Couple more weeks and it'll be your 100-mile pace.

Great pics, especially your dad cutting through the grass.

We're talking barely a week since starting 20 second strides, so a couple more 16:40 5Ks, and I'll be perfectly on track for next summer's world championships.

Nice trotting! What? No upside down snowman running photos?!?

The upside down snowman shirt is only for terrifying relatives. Except that in my family, it doesn't. Just par for the course, business as usual!

Nice run, Jake! I ran with Timmy Milenkevich (2nd place) in college. An interesting fellow for sure :) Glad to see he's still tearing it up.

That's quite a setup for a race that size! I fully expect that the next Sugarhouse Relays will have drones....

His long, wavy hair made me pretty jealous!

...and I'll look back and regret how I ignored when they said "run as fast as you can." ~TS
