PM - 8 miles.

I knew breaking 17 minutes on the SHP course wouldn't be easy, and it wasn't! The first half-mile felt insanely hard. After about a mile I looked back and saw that Andrea and another girl were the closest competitiors, which was a huge relief. Did a little math at two miles and realized I needed to rally to break 17. Fortunately I had some juice left and ran a pretty good last mile. I was happy with the effort... I think I slightly exceeded my expectations.

Good cutdown. I'm seeing red, bold, and mileage. You've got an excellent base going.

Thanks Jason.

At first I was like "what does he mean by RED?" and then I eventually figured it out.

I'll say it again - that first mile was HARD! If I do some more races this fall, I need to probably do more than 20 minutes at 8:30 pace to warm up :-)
