AM - 12.5 miles up to work, slow slow slow.

PM - 3 miles around the block. I was going to actually take the afternoon off, but I just felt tight after sitting at my desk and needed to shake the legs out a bit before rolling out and stretching. Definitely my shortest run in a long time.

Spent some time this afternoon showing my family around SLC. We went up to the observation deck on top of the Temple Square administrative building, which is a really cool place to see the whole city.

Some Uintas pics from earlier in the week... there is no water left in Trial Lake!

That is awesome! You guys MUST get Aggies icecream while you are in Logan. It is on campus at Utah State and is arguably the best ice cream in UT. :)

Nice slow run.

The water level looks like it did the last time I was fishing there about 15 years ago. Just like you, I caught a fish right away and then not a bite the rest of the day.

Hi Jake,

Yes my son Tommy has been a fan or yours for sometime, from this blog and following your results. Fast runners are like rock stars to him, and he recognized you right away, and was glad to have a chance to talk to you Wed.

He hasn't been keeping a blog, but he just might now. He just finished his Freshman year at Herriman and is trying to recover from a broken ankle that also messed up his hip and hamstring, and he's almost back where he wants to be.

Hey Tom - I enjoyed chatting w/ him for a bit yesterday. Hoping he is on the upswing from the injuries he was telling me about. Encourage him to join the blog (as long as its fine w/ his coach) - there are a good number of high school runners on here.
