AM - 12.8 miles. Nice easy run around Holladay, down to 6200S and looped back. Weather was surprisingly not too bad (especially since 145" of snow fell between 4 and 5am this morning.. haha I think a snowcat drove into the weather station!). Another double digit night for sleep hours - didn't get started until 10am again.

This has been another great week of running. I bounced back quicker from the 15K even faster than I thought I would, got in a nice long run on Monday, then quality days on Thursday and yesterday, all while keeping the overall volume at a high level. The whole winter has gone well, but I feel especially fortunate now that it seems that all the little aches have completely gone away. I have 100% health going into these last couple weeks of hard workouts.

PM - 6 miles, horsepark loops. Finally heard from Andrea, she made it to Brazil in one piece, and is still in one piece. She only sent me one picture, but its a good one... check out that track location! :-) ....

It's a great sign that you 100% with no aches or pains whatsoever. Especially amazing with your training and racing regiment. Can you make sure the snow is off my driveway by the time I get home? :)

Yeah I already shoveled all the imaginary snow for you.

Another over-predicted storm. Its a perfectly normal, dry spring day out there.

100% is my favorite %. you've had an amazing build-up this winter and you are only going to get better in these last few weeks.

i have concluded that the weather forecasters are bored, so they hype up the storms for entertainment. the "high wind warning combined with snow and extreme temperature drops" resulted in a slightly dewy morning at liberty park -- freshly chilled air, slightly breezy, green grass, tiny gloves, birds singing...

145 inches- boy, that would be like swimming to stay on top of the falling flakes...

From Jake K on Sun, Mar 18, 2012 at 16:49:07 from 67.177.21.60

allie - the weather forecasters are trying to sell hotel rooms at the ski resorts for the last couple weeks that they are open! I woke up to birds singing this morning!

From JulieC on Mon, Mar 19, 2012 at 14:31:43 from 207.108.176.223

btw how was Andrea's ferritin level? and are you serious about the snowfall??? I will have to click on that link.

From JulieC on Mon, Mar 19, 2012 at 14:33:14 from 207.108.176.223

guess I will be skiing on spring break with my kids the day before I leave for Boston on Tuesday April 10th. : D. OH YAH!!!

From Jake K on Mon, Mar 19, 2012 at 14:38:25 from 155.100.226.54

Julie - I think there was a slight mistake in that snowfall recording :-) But this storm did produce some decent totals in the mountains.

Andrea didn't get her results before she left and I can't get them for her b/c technically we're not "related"... so she probably won't know anything until she gets back. Stupid health information protection rules!

WOW! Is all I can say about that pic...

Holy snow...hehe.

You are right on target for an out of body/mind experience in Boston.

My husband was impressed with your bib number. He was scanning through the Utah entrant list last night and asked if I knew a Jake... that had a REALLY LOW bib number (= really fast). I'm like, "yeah, I totally know him." :)
