AM - 20 miles. Did my standard long run loop for when Jeremy Ranch is too cold... down through Holladay to the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, then back along Wasatch Blvd. Kept the pace relaxed (~6:40 avg)... surprisingly didn't feel too tight after a lot of time sitting in the car and airplane yesterday. It feels good to be ramping it up a bit again. Time to make some repairs to my aerobic house.

PM - 4 miles easy.

A couple pics from Thanksgiving in Connecticut. Somehow my cousins and sister think I'm less dorky now (despite the fact that all evidence points to the fact that I'm more of a dork), so we ended up having a ton of fun. My sister also brought her boyfriend, who I liked a lot... we jammed out on Friday night (he played guitar while I handled the vocals)...

Did Dad's crazy 6-mile interval session pay off for the trot?

Hard to know... I was just impressed that he even ran b/c he was pretty sick before/after. But in any case, he's been e-mailing me training schedules today, so I guess he's fired up :-)

A thousand or so miles away - we split up for Thanksgiving this year :-(

Doing the same for XMas too... Her family doesn't want to see me until I break 2:20 in the marathon :-)

okay really worried there for a moment when I read "....we split up...ahhhh for the holidays-- much better :D but pretty funny about your 2:20!!! better get going!! when do intend on doing this???

From Jake K on Tue, Nov 27, 2012 at 08:36:18 from 155.100.226.191

I don't think they'd know the difference if I ran 2:20 or 5:20 :-)

But ideally that first one will go down sometime in 2013...
