AM - 7.5 miles, easy jogging. Went out solo for the first 15 minutes, then looped back and picked up Andrea for the rest of the run, shedding all my layers at that point b/c it was so warm out. I'm not running back and forth to work this week, even on my recovery days, b/c I'm trying to play it super cautious w/ my left calf... today it feels OK, but if anything is going to aggrevate the leg, its running up & down that giant hill.

PM - 7.5 miles on the grass, running loops around SHP in the wind/snow/rain. My hands froze! Character building run - good to get one of these every once in a while :-) But I will say that after that, I'm looking forward to 80 degrees in AZ this weekend!

Speaking of playing it safe - I have 2 Snowbird lift tickets (Tram & Chairs) that include a free lunch on the mountain. I'll sell them to anyone here heavily discounted. They expire on April 16th, and I'm not skiing before Boston, and Andrea is going to Brazil. E-Mail / PM me if you are interested. I promise this is not a scam! :-)

Take care of that calf! Your workout yesterday was awesome and I'm stoked for you this weekend. Also, good luck with your scam :>

Basically I've just been trying to run fast for the past year to build up everyone's trust, and then try to rip them off on lift tickets!

Smart call on taking it easy and avoiding hills for a few days. Plus it is probably more enjoyable to have a little company on runs for a change.

From Jake K on Tue, Mar 06, 2012 at 09:25:52 from 155.100.226.54

Yes its VERY nice to be able to run w/ Andrea again - although I do kinda miss listening to LMFAO on my ipod :-)

From Andrea on Tue, Mar 06, 2012 at 09:31:43 from 72.37.171.52

All that LMFAO is going to your head (especially the "I'm sexy and I know it" song)...you need a break from it anyways! :o)

But its like they are singing directly to me!

Rest that calf! and I'll take you up on your ticket scam but you need to throw in some flights so I can get out there to use them!

It was so warm today! Doooode, you guys need to buy an e-power machine like I have. I swear to you it speeds cellular healing. I have used it when I've felt injured so many times the last 9 months and it works!

From Jake K on Tue, Mar 06, 2012 at 09:39:13 from 155.100.226.54

I know Lily - I feel like its something worth investing in. The E-Power is basically just an ultrasound or electrical stim machine, right?

From Lulu Walls on Tue, Mar 06, 2012 at 13:04:03 from 155.100.212.98

I need to hear more about this E-Power machine. Sorry about the calf. Do you use compression socks? What are your thoughts on those?

From Jake K on Tue, Mar 06, 2012 at 13:11:41 from 155.100.226.54

Its no big deal - really I've already dodged 2 bullets this winter (a bum knee and a potentially broken toe) - its all part of the territory. I figure I get at least 9 lives during a marathon training cycle :-)

I wear compression socks or calf sleeves all day @ work. I don't wear them for running but keep them on for recovery the rest of the day. I am a huge believer int the power of compression clothing.

From Lily on Tue, Mar 06, 2012 at 16:33:48 from 67.199.178.210

Jake, yes it is. And it works wonders!

How's $50 payable in gui-jk, cash or Paypal?

From prlman on Tue, Mar 06, 2012 at 23:50:57 from 96.25.110.207

Take care of your calf. Cant wait to hear how you do this weekend. I'm sure it will be such a great time.
