AM - 7.5 miles up to work. Another perfect, cool morning. I hope I don't jinx it, but the weather has been amazing ever since winter ended in early June.

If you haven't seen the Letsrun series on RoJo's trip to Kenya, post #4 is worth a read.

PM - 6.5 miles. Ran down to the Highland track and did my typical "Thursday before a race" tune up... 4 x 300m in 52 seconds, then 4 x 200m in 32-33 seconds.

Just because I figure you'll find it interesting and appreciate it, my friend skied Suicide Chute (at least the lower half plus runout). They laughed the whole time at skiing in late July.

That's awesome! It might still be skiiable in August, which is amazing!

I've been reading the series on LetsRun. It is so fascinating, and it makes me want to go to Kenya to train. Can you imagine doing a fartlek workout with 200 other people? And that's a slow day?

Its pretty incredible and these kinds of articles really can help us understand why the Africans dominate! Yeah, they have some genetic advantages (body type) and they are born at altitude, but for the most part, they are HUNGRY for success and works their butts off.

It would be really fun to go there and train.
