AM - 10 miles.

PM - Skinned 6 x Milly at Brighton [6600']. Changed it up from the usual GW laps. Casual pace, just listening to podcasts and enjoying the scenery all afternoon. Shorter laps felt good after a longer effort yesterday.

For a few minutes I entertained the idea of a 2 x 10K weekend, but decided I wanted to drive down the canyon before dark. I've skied 8 of the past 15 days with 46K of climbing during that span... a pretty good start to the season considering the lack of snow (but that should change very soon!!!).

I like being outside :-)

From your running and skiing right now you are likely in the strongest shape ever. I think you should do Crowbar in Logan.

We did the Crowbar last year and I was terrible... but a lot of that had to do with not being confident on the new rando skis, lingering hamstring injury (ie. couldn't bend over to transition or have the leg stability to turn my skis), and then getting frustrated and giving up a third of the way into the race! :-0

I think I can do A LOT better this year... so unless that weekend is a major powder storm, we'll probably go up and do it again. I'd like to explore a little BC skiing in that area too.

I want to do it too. I'll just have to see if it's a weekend I end up having off. To the local backcountry crowd this is a serious race. They have been training at the gym I go to for several months already. When I'm up near Tony skiing I'll come across guys training for it.

Yeah its a really cool race. Great group of people last year... we had fun.
