AM - 16 miles. Wasatch Blvd  / 6200S loop. Kept a pretty good pace (avg 5:59/mi) and picked it up a bit at the end, hitting the last couple in ~5:20. Last 10 miles was ~56:30. Good little test for the hamstring. I'm getting really anxious to start rolling again.

After I finished I did 30 minutes of very light pool jogging w/ Andrea. Nice way to cool down the muscles.

Sounds like a good run and that's solid pace on that route. Better yet, the hamstring held up. I definitely wouldn't have been up for this one today.

I'm going to keep doing about 1/2 of the intensity I feel like I should/could be doing right now. After seeing you and Andrea deal w/ the perpetual hamstring issues, I'm just really cautious about hitting it hard too soon. But this, after doing some 100m strides the last couple days, confirms my sense that its healing back up.

That sounds like a smart approach. I know that until my hamstring is fully healed (the left one is still very weak) I could easily tweak it during any run. I suspect you are ok once both hamstrings feel the same and you don't have any problems during runs like this.

Its been about a month since I re-aggravated it... so even though it feels normal, on a micro level its realistically not 100% yet, so a little patience goes a long way right now.

I've done that run before! Its good some good views. Nice job exercising patience. It is so easy to tell others to be patient but quite another to actually practice it yourself. I'm sure its going to pay off big for you.
