AM - Mad dash across the MSP airport to make our connection after sitting on the runway in Duluth for way too long. Probably my fastest half-mile of the weekend.

PM - 6 miles. Easy jog while Andrea biked along. Was inspired to run really slow after watching the Men's 5000m. At least Ben True had the balls to make something of a race out of that. I suppose it would have been Lagat/Rupp in some order no matter how the race played out, though.

I think we were on the same flight from MSP to SLC. Were you on the 9:00 am Delta flight out of MSP? I thought I saw you guys about 12 rows up when we were sitting there waiting for a gate agent so we could get off the plane in SLC.

Yeah, we got in at MSP terminal C at like 8:58 and they held the plane for us so we could sprint across like 4 terminals. It was a long run! Sorry for causing the delay. We still got in on time, though :-)

Apparently the fog/rain in Duluth "caught the airport off guard" and we got delayed about 45 minutes. Which was a bit shocking - it was raining and foggy for the previous 3 days! How did they not see that coming?

That's funny "caught them off guard". Yeah they had us board like 40 minutes early, so we were on the plane for like 45 minutes before it finally took off.

That would've been funny to see you sprinting across the airport!

It was a monsoon driving between Duluth and Minneapolis that morning! Bryant had the windshield wipers on the fastest mode and they still weren't clearing the water fast enough for us to see. It was certainly dangerous.

The Duluth airport is one of those where you actually have to walk out on the runway to get on the plane. It was POURING rain. I was pretty glad the race was Saturday. Would have been awful on Sunday. Same thing happened last year, except worse... 24 hours after the race a awful storm moved in and sort of destroyed the city, they got like 11 inches of rain in 48 hours.
