I don't know if I look up to the 2:43 "professional runner" quite as much as the author does. Maybe I'm too much of a realist, but it seems more sad than anything. Good article though, pretty interesting.

Agree, Joe. I'm all for chasing your dreams and doing things you are passionate about, but those guys should at least come one state north to Utah where they could clean up and win some prize money! :-)

I liked the fact that it was a longer, in-depth article about "regular" runners... you don't see a lot of that.
