AM - 14 miles. We spent the night in PC so it was back to Jeremy Ranch this morning. Rob came up to join me, and we had a great run. The Oregon Project guys who didn't run at the Pre Classic were out there as well, so we were definitely not the fastest guys on the road... although Rob did his best to break me with a couple quarter-mile surges at the end.

PM - 6 miles. Hot out!

Mary Cain ran 1:59.5 yesterday. Her reaction when Alberto came over and told her that she broke two minutes was priceless (watch it). Moments like that are hard to beat.

Thanks for the run Jake. Having some company on that run is a big help.

The Mary Cain race/post race was really cool - and easily the highlight of the meet for me.

Thanks for the link! Incredible performance for anyone, let alone a 17 year old! Loved it.

Pretty freaking incredible. Thanks for sharing the link Jake.

How many runners can even split an 800? Especially when running a national record. Really impressive.

At 17 years old, my PRs (1:58.6 and 4:25.2) match up almost exactly the same as hers. Wild. She's going to crush my high school 5K PR this weekend, though :-)

So cool to see how grounded she is, and how she is just enjoying the moment(s).

Cool to see someone so excited.
