AM - 10 miles up to work. Caught an incredible sunrise - looked like the sky was on fire for a few minutes. Unfortunately that probably means the ground was on fire somewhere else.

PM - 7.3 miles home. Running the Lavender half-marathon tomorrow, just for kicks. Obviously not resting much for this one :-)

Found out about this BBC documentary on the history of the Olympic 1500m last night. Watched the first 3 minutes and had to stop because I knew I wouldn't fall asleep. Excited to watch it at some point over the next couple days.

And for a reading recommendation - there are great interviews with Steve and Melody in the latest Utah Running Magazine. They both have some excellent advice to share.

That show sounds interesting. I can't watch any shows about running before I go to bed or I won't sleep, either.

Have fun tomorrow. Sounds like a blast!!!

My 8 year old daughter and I were just looking at Wasatch and Beyond and she said you are too old to be wearing flag shorts. :)

I'm too old to be American?!?! :-)

Oh, she just corrected me. What she said was you look too old to be wearing shorts that short. :)

I still disagree with her!!! :-)

She cracks me up. I told her that you're younger than me so its ok. She just said "oh, ok."

james and i watched that the other night -- it was on one of the three channels in our hotel room and it drew us in instantly. it's definitely exciting/inspiring, but it also made me feel weak and lazy. the training they put in is unbelievable.
