AM - 8 miles up to work. First mile w/ Andrea, turned the corner and crossed paths with Fritz - he ran up to Sunnyside w/ me. Nice to have some company this morning!

You could feel the wind absolutely whipping out of Emigration and Red Butte Canyons from a mile away - Blacksmith Fork: I hope you are taking notes... 

PM - 4.5 miles down to SHP, where Andrea picked me up. Did 2 miles in 9:58 (5:04, 4:54) along the way on the usual downhill route. Almost got taken out by a school bus.

Awww me too! I think we both deserve 50 degree weather and a 10-15mph tail wind after surviving Boston. I'll write the weatherman today on my lunch break. :)

Is that part of the marathon route? If so, does that mean the wind will be behind you or in your face?

Yeah, there is a section of Blacksmith Fork Canyon (where the marathon is for the first half) that can get a famous tailwind. We had it good from about 5.5 to 7 of the half last weekend. This time of year the wind can really blow E to W out of the canyons in the mornings... its the sign that fall is on the way.
