AM - 12.7 miles, up to work. Here's something to drool over this morning: Running in the Italian Dolomites
PM - 7.8 miles, easy run home. It got a little windy which made it seem less hot. I'm terrible at the Daegu time calculations, but if my math is right, the men's 5K heats should be on tonight. It will be fun to watch the master tactician Lagat do his thing.

How did they pull off that gig - and why am I sitting in a classroom?!

There are companies that will shuttle your gear from hut to hut, and you can just run that entire trail through the Dolomites, staying a sweeet mountain huts every night. Sounds too good to be true? It sort of is... it costs about $2000 USD! I think I'd rather just wear the same clothes every day. That's why merino wool was invented, right? :-)

I like that idea. If you're running every day anyway, who cares about clean clothes? :)

Nice miles - I hope to run internationally some day...

I'm in, if you're in. When do we fly?

By the way, we're going to have to ask you to leave the blog. You are putting the rest of us to huge shame with your amazing mileage. Good work. Hope it pays off with an OTQ.

Jon as long as I feel like I gave it my best shot, I'll be happy. And I think we should schedule the FRB Dolomites trip for summer 2012! Seriously, how cool would a running hut trip be? I bet you could pull off something really cool using the 10th Mtn system in Colorado. That would be a big mileage week at some killer altitude!

I've done some sweet backpacking in New Zealand, and they have a nice hut system there, too. So many options, so little money and time.
